Sarfraz, Muhammad Convexity preserving piecewise rational interpolation for planar curves. (English) Zbl 0763.65004 Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 29, No. 2, 193-200 (1992). A \(C^ 1\) piecewise rational cubic Hermite interpolant with one shape parameter is used to present a \(C^ 1\) convexity preserving plane curve method. This provides an extension of the corresponding results by R. Delbourgo and J. A. Gregory [SIAM J. Sci. Stat. Comput 6, 967- 976 (1985; Zbl 0586.65006)].
