Integral transforms connected with differential operators having singularities inside the interval. (English) Zbl 0902.44003
The author makes an interesting study of boundary value problems for second-order differential operators in a finite interval with singularities within the interval. The integral transform associated with the boundary value problem is investigated. The inverse problem is also examined, the solution of the inverse problem is obtained, and a uniqueness theorem is also proved. Several other theorems are dealing with completeness and expansion with respect to eigenfunctions of the boundary value problem. Special attention is given to the fundamental system of solutions and to the properties of the spectrum of the boundary value problem.
