Cakoni, Fioralba; Colton, David A uniqueness theorem for an inverse electromagnetic scattering problem in inhomogeneous anisotropic media. (English) Zbl 1051.78013 Proc. Edinb. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 46, No. 2, 293-314 (2003). The authors formulate the direct scattering problem for electromagnetic waves as a boundary-value problem. The uniqueness theorem for this problem is formulated and proved, as well as the regularity theorem. The interior transmission problem is investigated, and the uniqueness theorem is proved for it as well. The results obtained for both problems serve to prove the uniqueness theorem for the inverse scattering problem. Reviewer: Alexander V.
