This paper deals with the critical case of extension criterias for strong solutions of the 3D Navier-Stokes equations which was excluded in [D. Chae and H.-J. Choe, Electron. J. Differ. Equ. 1999, Paper No. 5, 7 p. (1999; Zbl 0923.35117)]. To this end the components of the vorticity vector are investigated in BMO.
