Nonlinear forced oscillation in a magnetically levitated system: The effect of the time delay of the electromagnetic force. (English) Zbl 1180.78010
The authors study a system of two coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations, which describe the motion of a heavy mass sustained by a magnetic force. The equations are numerically solved by the shooting method and the results are confirmed by an experimental equipment.
