Wolf, Thomas A comparison of four approaches to the calculation of conservation laws. (English) Zbl 1002.35008 Eur. J. Appl. Math. 13, No. 2, 129-152 (2002). The author discusses four different approaches to determine conservation laws for a given differential equation. Emphasis is put on computational aspects. All approaches are implemented in the computer algebra system Reduce and tried on a number of examples; the main example is the sine-Gordon equation. Finally, the authors briefly touches on nonlocal conservation laws and differential equations with parameters.
