This note presents an entirely ordinal method called MELCHIOR (Méthode d’Elimination et de Choix Incluant les relations d’Ordre) to aggregate preferences using an (order) relation R on the criteria. It belongs to the ELECTRE family and uses an outranking relation S based on the notion of mask. When comparing action A to action B, one tries to mask the criteria favourable to B by those favourable to A. This operation is made on a bipartite graph deducted from the relation R.
