The author gives a survey of microlocal analysis from the hyperfunction point of view. The following topics are treated: systems of differential equations, microdifferential operators, symplectic structure of the cotangent bundle, quantized contact transformations, microdifferential modules, regularity conditions, regular holonomic \({\mathcal E}\)-modules, applications to the b-function.
