Hicks, T. L. Fixed point theorems for quasi-metric spaces. (English) Zbl 0642.54047 Math. Jap. 33, No. 2, 231-236 (1988). The fact that many pathological examples of topological spaces are quasi- metrizable makes fixed point theory more difficult in this setting. The Michael line, the Sorgenfrey line, the Kofner plane, and the Niemytzki plane are quasi-metrizable. This paper extends results for metric spaces to complete quasi-metric spaces.
