This second volume of the two volume set of Proceedings of the 15th International Wittgenstein Symposium 1992 at Kirchberg am Wechsel (Austria) gives a selection of 33 papers which (contrary to the first volume) concern Wittgenstein’s philosophy of logic and mathematics, but also other aspects of his philosophical work. The volume opens with the four plenary lectures by Hao Wang (“What is Logic?”), Jaakko Hintikka (“The Original Sinn of Wittgenstein’s Philosophy of Mathematics”), Penelope Maddy (“Wittgenstein’s Anti-Philosophy of Mathematics”), and Michael Wrigley (“The Continuity of Wittgenstein’s Philosophy of Mathematics”).
The remaining papers are grouped into three sections: I “Philosophy of Logic and Mathematics” (11 papers): II “Wittgenstein’s Tractatus” (7 papers), and III “Knowledge, Language, and Mind” (11 papers).
The volume documents a vast scholarship on Wittgenstein’s theoretical philosophy, although the last two sections contain only a few papers relevant for mathematics.
