Discrete-time sliding mode control is examined for linear and nonlinear sampled-data systems. Discrete-time sliding mode control for stochastic systems is also discussed in both cases of continuous and discrete measurement. An example of sampled-data implementation of sliding mode for a flexible structure is presented.
