FEM and BEM coupling for a nonlinear transmission problem with Signorini contact. (English) Zbl 0896.65079

This paper is concerned with the finite element method and the boundary element method coupling for a nonlinear transmission problem with Signorini contact. The following aspects are considered: a variational formulation, the boundary integral operators and the exterior problem, the existence and uniqueness in the transmission problem, the numerical approximation, and the error estimates for the transmission problem.
