Lee, Eui Yong; Ahn, Sung K. \(P_\lambda^M\)-policy for a dam with input formed by a compound Poisson process. (English) Zbl 0913.60081 J. Appl. Probab. 35, No. 2, 482-488 (1998). Consider an infinite dam, fed by a compound Poisson process. The release policy is: If the content reaches level \(\lambda\) or above, the water is released with rate \(M\) until the dam is empty. Then a new cycle starts with filling the dam. The authors compute the stationary distribution of the level of water in the system.
