On a single server queue with negative arrivals and request repeated. (English) Zbl 0953.60083

The authors analyse a single server queue with negative arrivals and repeated requests which generalizes the model of P. G. Harrison and E. Pitel [Adv. Appl. Probab. 28, No. 1, 540-566 (1996; Zbl 0861.60088)]. The authors show that the limiting distribution of the system state can be reduced to a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. They solve this equation numerically by truncating the original infinite system and their results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approximation. The impact of the system parameters on the model behaviour is also illustrated.
