Qiu, Li; Chen, Tongwen Multirate sampled-data systems: all \({\mathcal H}_\infty\) suboptimal controllers and the minimum entropy controller. (English) Zbl 0958.93031 IEEE Trans. Autom. Control 44, No. 3, 537-550 (1999). The paper deals with the general multirate sampled-data system and has a twofold purpose: to characterise in an explicit way the set of all \({\mathcal H}_\infty\) suboptimal controllers which internally stabilize the system and to find among all suboptimal controllers a particular one which minimizes an entropy function. The initial hybrid problem is converted into an equivalent linear time-invariant problem with a causality constraint, and the nest operator technique is used to handle causality effectively.
