Intuitionistic fuzzy relations and measures of consensus. (English) Zbl 0994.03048

Bouchon-Meunier, Bernadette (ed.) et al., Technologies for constructing intelligent systems. 2: Tools. Heidelberg: Physica-Verlag. Stud. Fuzziness Soft Comput. 90, 261-274 (2002).
On the basis of the definition of the concept of an intuitionistic fuzzy set [see the reviewer, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 20, 87-96 (1986; Zbl 0631.03040), Intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Theory and applications, Heidelberg: Physica-Verlag (1999; Zbl 0939.03057)], the concept of individual intuitionistic fuzzy preference relation is introduced. Some applications are discussed and illustrated by suitable examples. It is noted that such relations better reflect human behaviour by taking into account the hesitancy of individuals.
