Fixed points and problems in stability theory for ordinary and functional differential equations. (English) Zbl 1021.34042

Some results on the asymptotic stability for ordinary and functional-differential equations are proved by using fixed-point theory.
The paper is motivated by a number of difficulties encountered in the study by means of Lyapunov’s direct method.
