The modified extended Fan’s subequation method and its application to \((2+1)\)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation. (English) Zbl 1080.35096

Summary: By using a modified extended Fan’s subequation method, we have obtained new and more general solutions including a series of nontravelling wave and coefficient function solutions namely: soliton-like solutions, triangular-like solutions, single and combined nondegenerative Jacobi elliptic wave function-like solutions for the \((2 + 1)\)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation.
