Publ. 38, 243-254 (2007). The authors establish some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions of certain fourth order neutral type difference equations with some specified properties via a fixed point theorem. The results generalise those obtained by {M. Migda}, {A. Musielak} and {E. Schmeidel} [Adv. Difference Equ. 2004, No. 1, 23–36 (2004; Zbl 1084.39010)]. Reviewer: E.
