Azis, Moh. Ivan; Clements, David L. On some problems concerning deformations of functionally graded anisotropic elastic materials. (English) Zbl 1311.74139 Far East J. Math. Sci. (FJMS) 87, No. 2, 173-184 (2014). Summary: Some problems concerning the deformation of a class of functionally graded anisotropic materials under generalised plane strain are considered. The elastic moduli of the materials vary quadratically with the spatial coordinates. Strip loading of a half-space, a slab on a rigid foundation and a simply supported slab are considered with particular attention to materials with a narrow strip of material with small elastic moduli along a plane boundary surface. Numerical results are obtained for some particular materials.
