Müller, Fabian; Teschke, Olaf Will all mathematics be on the arXiv (soon)? (English) Zbl 1345.68267 Eur. Math. Soc. Newsl. 99, 55-57 (2016). This is a short announcement of the results in [the authors, Lect. Notes Comput. Sci. 9791, 63–74 (2016; Zbl 1344.68269)]: Currently, about 3% of the total, and about 20% of the recent mathematical corpus is available as “green open access” on the arXiv. The width, the ratio and the progress depend heavily on the area of mathematics. There is hope that eventually most of recent publications will be available via green open access in a few decades, but completeness for recent and especially historical publication will require additional initiatives.
