Wittgenstein, Ludwig Nedo, Michael (ed.) Ludwig Wittgenstein. Vienna edition. Vol. 10.2. Collection of notes from the synopses of the manuscript volumes I to X. Edited by Michael Nedo. (Ludwig Wittgenstein. Wiener Ausgabe. Band 10.2. Zettelsammlung aus den Synopsen der Manuskriptbände I bis X.) (German. English introduction) Zbl 1527.01035 Frankfurt am Main: Vittorio Klostermann (ISBN 978-3-465-03497-1). xv, 229-475 (2023). This is the second part of Volume 10 of the Vienna Edition with a collection of cuttings from the synopses of the manuscript volumes I–X (for the first part see [Zbl 1527.01036]). The volume opens with bilingual supplements to the introduction of the first part. There some special features of the material collected in this part are pointed out. The material on the philosophy of language, semantics and epistemology is ordered with the help of cover sheets. Topics include grammar (and its relation to normative logic), intention and imaging, and logical inference. In the section on universality, the emphasis is on existential quantification. Wittgenstein rejects his earlier view that existential quantification can be interpreted as logical sum and of universal quantification as logical product. Other topics include expectation and desire, philosophy, phenomenology, mainly understood as the theory of visual perception, and finally idealism.
