Stepanov, S. N. Improving efficiency of numerical methods for the calculation of models with repeated calls. (Russian) Zbl 0649.90052 Probl. Peredachi Inf. 22, No. 4, 78-94 (1986). The author proposed several algorithms for an improved calculation of probabilistic characteristics of models with repeated calls. In the methods presented the equations of statistical balance are not considered. Instead, a truncated state space is determined and an approximation process is constructed in such a way that the accuracy of the characteristics obtained can easily be evaluated.
