An algorithm for model reduction in large electric power systems. (English) Zbl 0905.65080
The authors present an algorithm for reducing the size of the differential algebraic equation used to model electrical power systems. The algorithm uses the \(\varepsilon\)-decomposition to identify components with close to identical behaviour and reduces the system size by replacing these components by a single one.
