Synthesis of fixed-architecture, robust $$H_2$$ and $$H_\infty$$ controllers.(English)Zbl 0996.93074

The Popov multiplier has been used to develop probability one homotopy algorithms for the design of robust controllers with guaranteed $$H_2$$ or $$H_\infty$$ performance.
It is found that the numerical algorithm for robust $$H_\infty$$ performance is much more computationally intensive than that for robust $$H_2$$ performance.
