Complete analysis of MAP/G/1/N queue with single (multiple) vacation(s) under limited service discipline. (English) Zbl 1107.60057
The paper deals with a finite-buffer queueing system with Markovian arrival process (MAP) where the server serves a limited number of customers. When this limit is reached it goes on vacation. The steady-state queue length distibution have been obtained at different epochs under single and multiple vacations. Several figures are displayed showing the effect of certain model parameters on some important performance measures, such as loss probability, mean queue lengths, mean waiting times. Possible fields of applications of the model are mentioned.
