On the method of successive approximations for the J. L. Synge electromagnetic two-body problem. (English) Zbl 1152.34385
Summary: Two-body problem of classical electrodynamics is considered. The equations of motion form a nonlinear neutral system with delays depending on the unknown trajectories. It is shown that a sequence of successive approximations for a global solution cannot be constructed.
