Special issue: Classical techniques for applied geometry. (English) Zbl 1172.65303

Summary: This special issue is devoted to new results originating from the interaction of computational methods, such as spline and approximation techniques, with classical results in applied geometry. The guest editors received 18 submissions, 11 of which were selected for inclusion in this special issues. A major part of these papers was presented at the Conference on Geometry: Theory and Applications which was held in 2007 at Stift Vorau in Styria.
