Pathak, H. K.; Fisher, Brian Common fixed point theorems with applications in dynamic programming. (English) Zbl 0877.54039 Glas. Mat., III. Ser. 31, No. 2, 321-328 (1996). The authors prove some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of mappings which commute pairwise at the coincidence points and then apply the main result to get the existence and uniqueness of common solutions of some functional equations arising in dynamic programming.
