Joint replenishment inventory control: Deterministic and stochastic models. (English) Zbl 0658.90033

This paper deals with inventory control models where a number of items are replenished jointly. The methods available for determining the economic operating policy for jointly replenished items under deterministic and stochastic demand conditions are reviewed. Experimental findings are discussed and ideas for future research directions are given.
