Object oriented computer systems engineering. (English) Zbl 0841.68021

Berlin: Springer-Verlag. x, 336 p. (1996).
The main objective of the book is to propose a new approach to the development of computer system-based products of the kind we have identified. It aims to meet the engineering requirements of such a process by specifying an integrated sequence of development phases that are supported by notations, techniques, methods and tools. Too few of these approaches exist.
The authors have planned the book to be attractive to both the serious student of systems engineering and practitioners involved in the development of these systems. Its use is supported by tools that are readily available via the World Wide Web, and the proposed methods have a strong focus towards the application of the notation and techniques to industrial-strength problems.
