The authors classify the finite order symmetries \(g\) of the 14 exceptional unimodal surface singularities, satisfying the following splitting condition: The rank 2 positive subspace of the corresponding Milnor fiber homology should not be contained in a single eigenspace of \(g_*\). Interesting relations to the hyperbolic complex reflection groups are also discussed.
