Wireless networking for control. (English) Zbl 1276.93004

Lunze, Jan (ed.), Control theory of digitally networked dynamic systems. Cham: Springer (ISBN 978-3-319-01130-1/hbk; 978-3-319-01131-8/ebook). 325-362 (2014).
Summary: This chapter is concerned with two important aspects of the implementation of distributed controllers. The first part shows how in control and communication co-design the control law and the scheduling method, which is used to decide which communication node gets access to the network, are chosen simultaneously. In the second part, the suitability of event-based control for different network protocols is evaluated.
