Li, Gongsheng; Zhang, Lezhong; Jiang, Zhaolin Fixed point method in the inverse problem of the nonlinear heat source. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 0872.35127 J. Qufu Norm. Univ., Nat. Sci. 23, No. 1, 45-49 (1997). Summary: We study the identification of a nonlinear heat source for the heat conduction equation on the semiinfinite line. We reduce the inverse problem to integral equations using the Green function of the first boundary value problem and prove local solvability and uniqueness through integral estimates and a fixed point method.
