Substantiation of the solution of hydroelasticity problems of finite shells by the eigenfunction method. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0658.76064

We substantiate by the eigenfunction method the solution of the problem of steady-state forced vibrations of a thin anisotropic shell of rotation in an ideally compressible unbounded liquid. We prove that the method can be used both for the emission problem and the problem of scattering of acoustic waves for a broad class of shells.
