Parallel preconditioners with mesh adaptation for compressible flow computations. (English) Zbl 1140.76399

Armfield, S. (ed.) et al., Computational fluid dynamics 2002. Proceedings of the second international conference on computational fluid dynamics, ICCFD, Sydney, Australia, July, 15–19, 2002. Berlin: Springer (ISBN 3-540-00739-3/hbk). 253-258 (2003).
Summary: Parallel domain decomposition techniques and auto-adaptive meshing are combined to solve some large scale problems in compressible flow simulation for aeronautics. In particular, Schwarz type preconditioners are investigated as well as integrated parallel mesh adaptivity and optimisation with the two-fold objective of enhancing solution accuracy and reduce computational costs.
