Bellhouse, D. R.; Sutradhar, B. C. End corrections in systematic sampling when a polynomial trend is present. (English) Zbl 0715.62009 REBRAPE 3, No. 2, 67-75 (1989). Summary: Yates’ end corrections method in systematic sampling eliminates a liner trend as a component of the mean square error of the estimate of the finite population mean. This method is generalized to any polynomial trend. Variance estimation is also discussed.
