A method to compute eigenvalues of the prolate spheroidal functions of zero order. (Russian) Zbl 1057.33501
Prolate spheroidal functions of zero order are eigenfunctions of integral equation with sinc-kernel and Fourier transform. To calculate radial and angular functions an expansion over spherical Bessel functions and Legendre functions is applied. A new method is proposed to improve the convergence of series on the basis of roots of transcendental equations. Related procedures are described.
