Volk, Wolfgang The numerical solution of linear integrodifferential equations by projection methods. (English) Zbl 0586.65096 J. Integral Equations 9, No. 1, Suppl., 171-190 (1985). The author presents an approach to the approximate solution of the equation \((L-K)x=f\) where L and L-K are continuously invertible operators and K is compact. (An alternative approach is available using the concept of discrete convergence.) As a special case of the general results, the author develops a spline-collocation method for integro-differential equations and gives the corresponding convergence results.
