Soliton solutions of the Korteweg-de Vries and Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equations: the Wronskian technique. (English) Zbl 0588.35077
The soliton solutions of the KdV and KP equations are written in Wronskian form and shown by direct substitution to satisfy the equations and the associated Bäcklund transformation.
