Method of data contraction for digital correction of reading of a measuring system. (Russian) Zbl 0661.65012
To improve the exactness of a certain measuring system corrections of the reading are used that reflect the errors in the previous work of the whole system. Usually the correcting functions form a large class F. The author presents a method of data contraction based on the following idea: 1) The set F is divided into subclasses $$G_ 1,...,G_ n$$. 2) A linear finite dimensional subspace $$A_ i$$ is associated with each $$G_ i$$. 3) An algorithm is described for approximating any $$f\in G_ i$$ by elements from $$A_ i$$.
