Use of fuzzy set theory in introducing graded consequence in multiple valued logic. (English) Zbl 0666.03022

The author first introduces a quite general fuzzification of the usual consequence relations of logic, starting from a Tarski-style algebraic characterization. Basic properties of that generalization are studied. Finally, some of those fuzzy relations are related to the consequence relations in many-valued logics.
Unfortunately, there is no discussion of the connections of the present approach to the earlier one toward graded consequences by J. Pavelka [Z. Math. Logik Grundlagen Math. 25, 45-52, 119-134 and 447-464 (1979; Zbl 0435.03020, Zbl 0446.03015 and Zbl 0446.03016)].
