Stability switches in linear scalar neutral delay equations. (English) Zbl 0749.34045
The question of stability switches in general neutral delay equations as a result of changing the delay is considered. The key technique utilized here is a generalized version of the one developed by Cooke and Grossman mainly for retarded equations. By introducing new methods and combining those developed by Cooke and van den Driessche, and Freedman and Rao, the authors are able to carry out a very systematic and complete stability switch analysis for linear scalar neutral delay equations.
