Summary: A causal discrete time system associated with a difference equation can always be realized with an invertible dynamics. This property, which is the analogue of the one-parameter group associated with a differential system, is obtained via methods stemming from difference algebra. Some consequences are investigated for linear systems, especially the constant case.
