Bellout, Hamid; Bloom, Frederick Steady plane Poiseuille flows of incompressible multipolar fluids. (English) Zbl 0791.76002 Int. J. Non-Linear Mech. 28, No. 5, 503-518 (1993). Summary: A detailed study of the problem of plane equilibrium Poiseuille flow of an isothermal, incompressible, dipolar fluid exhibiting nonlinear viscosity is presented. Estimates are derived for the mean velocity, friction factor and net volume flow associated with such a steady motion; these may be useful in computing bounds for the constitutive constants associated with multipolar fluids.
