Notions of hypergeometric systems of differential equations and its solutions, hypergeometric functions are generalized from \(\mathbb{R}^ n\) to \(F^ n\), where \(F\) is a finite or locally compact continuous field. Hypergeometric functions are defined as distributions on \(F^ n\).
