Stabilization of linear controllable systems by means of bounded continuous nonlinear feedback control. (English) Zbl 0866.93088

Summary: Using an inner ellipsoidal approximation to the controllable set of controllable linear systems, a bounded continuous nonlinear stabilizing feedback control is designed. The resulting control is a smooth local approximation to the time-optimal control. In particular, this design approach is used to globally stabilize the \(n\)th-order integrator system.
