Vague sets are intuitionistic fuzzy sets. (English) Zbl 0871.04006
Summary: We recapitulate the definition given by K. Atanassov [ibid. 20, 87-96 (1986; Zbl 0631.03040)] of intuitionistic fuzzy sets as well as the definition of vague sets given by W.-L. Gau and D.J. Buehrer [IEEE Trans. Syst. Man Cybern. 23, No. 2, 610-614 (1993; Zbl 0782.04008)] and see that both definitions coincide.
