Feedback design for regularizing descriptor systems. (English) Zbl 0944.65082
The authors consider linear time invariant descriptor control systems in the form \(Ex'- Ax- Bu= 0\), \(y= Cx\). Numerical algorithms are developed for computing proportional and derivative output feedback controls, \(u= Fy+ Gy'+v\), which regularize the original system. That is, the feedback reduces the system’s index to at most one.
