Multicriteria optimization. (English) Zbl 0956.90039
Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems. 491. Berlin: Springer. viii, 243 p. (2000).
Author’s abstract: This book gives an introduction to and an overview of multicriteria optimization. Theoretical questions such as the existence of solutions as well as methodological issues are presented. The text is accompanied by exercises, which hopefully help to deepen students’ understanding of the topic, and covers optimization of real valued functions only. Even with this restriction interesting topics such as duality or stability have been excluded. However, other material, which has not been covered in earlier excellent textbooks on the topic before has found its way into the text. Most of this material is based on research of the last 15 years, that is, after the publication of most of the available books on the topic of multicriteria optimization.
